Cookie Policy

Every cookie zapgocart sets on this website, what it is for, how long it lasts, and how to turn it off.

In effect from 15 August 2026

This document is not finished.

It is missing the registered legal name, trade licence number and issuing authority, registered address, emirate for the governing-law clause — supply them in apps/website/lib/legal.ts and every legal page updates together. Have a qualified adviser review the text before relying on it.

01What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, and hands back on your next visit. Related technologies — tracking pixels, local storage — do the same job by other means, and this policy treats them the same way.

A first-party cookie is set by the site you are visiting. A third-party cookie is set by someone else whose code the site includes. Both are covered below.

02Cookies we set

This is the complete list for the v2.zapgocart.com marketing site. A shop running on the platform may set its own; the merchant operating it is responsible for disclosing those.

  • zk_attrMarketing

Records which advertisement or campaign brought you here, so a later signup can be credited to it. First visit wins; a later click does not overwrite it.

    First party · 30 days

  • _fbpMarketing

Identifies this browser to Meta so our advertising can be measured and re-shown. Set by the Meta Pixel script.

    Meta · About 90 days

  • _fbcMarketing

Stores the click identifier from a Meta advertisement so Meta can match a later action to that click.

    Meta · About 90 days

Meta may set further cookies on its own domains when the Pixel loads. Those are outside our control and are governed by Meta's cookie policy.

03Strictly necessary cookies

We do not use cookies to keep you signed in on this website, because this website has nothing to sign in to — accounts live on the admin application at a different address, and its session cookie is set there, not here.

The attribution cookie is not strictly necessary. The site works identically without it; what we lose is the ability to tell which advertisement brought you here.

04The Meta Pixel

When it is enabled, the Meta Pixel loads a script from Meta and reports that a browser viewed a page. Meta uses this to measure our advertising and to show our advertisements to people who have visited before.

  • It reports page views and signup intent — not what you type, and not data from inside any shop.
  • Meta is an independent controller for what it receives, under its own terms.
  • The Pixel does not load at all when no Pixel identifier is configured for a deployment, which is how our development builds run.

The related server-side reporting, including the hashing applied before contact details reach Meta, is described in clause 7 of our Privacy Policy.

05How to refuse them

In your browser

Every major browser can block or clear cookies for a single site, under its privacy or site-settings menu. Clearing cookies for v2.zapgocart.com removes the attribution cookie immediately.

With a content blocker

Any standard content or tracker blocker will stop the Meta Pixel loading. Nothing on this site depends on it, so the page behaves exactly as it otherwise would.

Through Meta

Your Meta ad preferences control how Meta uses what it collects about you across sites, including this one.

Refusing any of these has no effect on your ability to browse the site, sign up, or run your shop.

06Changes

If we add, remove or repurpose a cookie, this page and its table change with it, and the date at the top moves.
